On October 18, 2010 Embraer announced that it had reached an agreement with NetJets to purchase 50 Embraer Phenom 300 light jets with an option for an additional 75 Phenom 300s. The deal was officially announced at the 2010 NBAA annual meeting and convention in Atlanta, GA. Embraer also announced that NetJets will be receiving a special edition Embraer Phenom 300 called the Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition. The Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition was introduced by Embraer to meet the needs of NetJets Inc. Embraer is making the Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition only for NetJets. The Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition is not available to any other customers at this time. Embraer says that the Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition will have, "technology and comfort based on the requirements of NetJets' fractional share owners (Embraer - NetJets Press Release on the Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition)." Embraer will start delivering Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition light jets to NetJets in 2013.

The Embraer Phenom 300 Platinum Edition is likely to only have a few adjustments to meet NetJets requirements. The adjustments are likely to be seen in the Phenom 300 Platinum Edition's cabin.
Update: In 2014, NetJets and Embraer changed the name of the Phenom 300 Platinum Edition to the Embraer Phenom 300 Signature Edition.
