Market Background
Embraer launched the Phenom 100 in 2008 and the aircraft has been in service for over a decade. The company currently sells the Phenom 100EV version of the jet in 2019, which is an improved model when compared to the first version. Over the years, the company made some changes to the jet to improve it. In 2014, the company launched the Embraer Phenom 100E, which was an enhanced version of the jet that added multi-function spoilers. According to AOPA, the “E” was added to the name of the airplane to explain that it was efficient and enhanced. In 2016, the company launched the Phenom 100EV as a new version of the jet that included avionics and engine upgrades. With the changes to the jet over the years, there are three versions, the Phenom 100, Phenom 100E, and the Phenom 100EV.
New Phenom 100s For Sale
A new Embraer Phenom 100 can be purchased directly from Embraer Executive Jets. Embraer operates on a direct sale model, which most jet manufacturers use. To purchase a new jet you can contact them directly on their site or work with someone to represent you in negotiations. In 2016, it was reported by FlightGlobal that the price of a new Phenom 100EV was $4,495,000 USD (list price).
In the past, there were several delivery positions available for sale from delivery position holders. In 2019, this is not the case anymore as Embraer does not have a large backlog of aircraft to be built and most holders are not selling their positions. Those types of delivery positions were usually listed on sites like Controller.com or Aircraft Shopper Online.
Used Phenom 100s For Sale
The used aircraft market for the jet has been well established and there are usually a good number of jets for sale. In October of 2019, we looked at a small sample of Phenom 100s on the market and found that the average asking price for the aircraft was $1,921,583 USD ($1.922 million). The price range was from $1.195 million to $3.25 million for a 2015 Phenom 100E. Many aircraft listed on the various marketplace websites do not show their asking price and request that you contact them to get the price. Those aircraft were not included in our research.

The Historic Marketplace
In the past we, reported a range of $2,600,000 to $3,500,000 in 2011 to 2013. Since then there have been significant changes to the for-sale market. Also, there were Embraer Phenom 100 delivery positions that were being marketed in the $3,000,000 range. The market has changed as there the used price has dropped for many older jets, and the delivery positions for new Phenom 100s are hard to find.
Other Names
Sometimes when people are looking for information on the jet, they use the other names for the aircraft which include the Embraer EMB-500 and the Embraer E50P. EMB-500 is the official name for the jet and E50P is the name that is used by air traffic control to identify the airplane.
