The Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft has become a popular aircraft in Bombardier's lineup of commercial aircraft. As September 30, 2014 Bombardier Q400 orders are a total of 514 aircraft with 471 delivered and 43 on backlog. The 43 aircraft on backlog are orders from the following airlines / companies: (September 30, 2014)
- Abu Dhabi Aviation: 2 orders
- Air Cote d'Ivoire: 2 orders
- Arik Air: 3 orders
- Eurolot: 3 orders
- Falcon Aviation: 2 orders
- Horizon Air: 1 order
- Island Air: 2 orders
- Nok Air: 4 orders
- WestJet: 6 orders
- WestJet Encore: 10 orders
- Undisclosed Customers: 8 orders
- Total: 43 Q400 aircraft on order
The Q400 has the most orders / sales out of all of the commercial aircraft Bombardier is currently producing. The retired CRJ200 (702 orders), still holds the most sales at Bombardier, however the Q400 turboprop is catching up. Right now it looks as if the Q400 is gaining strength as more airlines are continuing to order the aircraft.
