Bombardier CRJ700LR
The Bombardier CRJ700LR is a long range version of the CRJ700 jet. Bombardier was able to create the CRJ700LR by increasing the maximum ramp and maximum landing weight of the CRJ700. This increase in weight allows the CRJ700LR to take on more fuel and fly longer distances. Other than the increase in weight and range, the CRJ700LR is the same as the other CRJ700 aircraft.
The Bombardier CRJ700LR range is 2,000 nautical miles, 2,302 statute miles or 3,704 kilometers (according to the Bombardier Regional Aircraft Family Handbook)
Bombardier CRJ700LR NextGen
When Bombardier released the NextGen version of the CRJ700 in 2007, the CRJ700 Nextgen LR replaced the regular CRJ700LR. Brochures and documents of the CRJ700 NextGen LR show that the range is less then the CRJ700LR range noted above. A CRJ700 NextGen fact sheet has the CRJ700LR NextGen Range at 1,840 nautical miles, 2,117 statute miles or 3,408 kilometers. Other documents released by Bombardier have varying / different range numbers for all types of CRJ700s.
