Bombardier CRJ700 Cockpit – Flight Deck
When building the Bombardier CRJ700, Bombardier wanted to build an aircraft that had commonality with the CRJ100/200 jet. Following this theme, the Bombardier CRJ700 cockpit is very similar to the CRJ200. Layout of all the controls and features of the CRJ700 cockpit, is almost exactly the same as the CRJ200. As with all CRJ series aircraft, the CRJ700 flight deck contains the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 six screen avionics system. Two pilot seats and one jumpseat are located inside the CRJ700 cockpit. The center console in the CRJ700 cockpit houses the FMS units, throttle controls, flap controls, radio controls and various switches and buttons for other items. The CRJ700 flight deck can also contain a head up display or HUD/HGS unit, an optional item. A nose wheel tiler for nose wheel steering is located on the left side of the Bombardier CRJ700 cockpit.
