Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen
The Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen is the same aircraft as the Bombardier CRJ1000. With the introduction of the CRJ1000, Bombardier has used the new "NextGen" term with the aircraft's name. NextGen refers to the upgrades made in the CRJ series lineup when compared to older CRJ series aircraft. Improvements in the Bombardier CRJ1000 NextGen include larger windows, better seats, larger overhead bins, improved operating costs, redesign walls and ceilings and LED lighting when compared to non-NextGen CRJ series regional jets. Also the CRJ1000 NextGen has better operating economics, lower emissions and fuel burn when compared to similar capacity jets currently flying today. There are muliple models of the aircraft that include the base ER and EL versions, these all have different range numbers.
